13Las Vegas -ShonaLas Vegas is by far & away one of myfavourite holiday destinations. It has somany different things to offer and is acity to be visited again and again. The Las Vegas Strip is covered withextravagant hotels, all with their own individual themeand offering hours of endless entertainment. A Cirquedu Soleil show is a must see when in Vegas. The BeatlesLove Show in The Mirage hotel is the best show I haveeven seen, truly breathtaking. In addition, I'd alsorecommend a trip to the Grand Canyon, preferably byhelicopter if possible. If you like to shop, then this is the city for you. On theStrip there are a number of malls to tickle your fancyfrom high end shopping to great bargains. If that's notenough, there's always the outlet malls only 15 minutesaway by bus. CRUISEMandyA cruise holiday is no longer for the richand famous! Once you step onboard acruise ship you will feel like the mostimportant person on board. Your cabinsteward will do everything and more tomake your stay as comfortable as possible while thewaiter staff will tend to all your dietary needs no matterwhat they may be. Included in your cruise holiday will be variety ofentertainment and activities for all ages and interests. You'll never be bored with so much on offer. A cruise with American holidays will be action andadventure or rest and relaxation, you decide. Havingcruised to the Mediterranean, Caribbean and Alaska Iwould have to say there is no better way to see all thesefabulous places up close and personal. We don't just go there..we know there!BOSTONKrissyI had one of the best holidays in Boston. It is such a quaint beautiful city andsmall enough that you don't feeloverwhelmed. The Back Bay area has a lovely mix of beautifulcontemporary hotels mixed with charming localbrownstones and all within a stones throw from FenwayPark. The Prudential Center has some incredible shoppingand if you go to the top of the centre you can have a drinkwhile enjoying an incredible view over the city. Copleysquare is a just a short stroll from the Back Bay area andif you keep walking you will find yourself in the beautifulBoston Common Park. I could spend days in Quincy Market. Besides havinggreat shopping and fun pubs, the market is filled withcrafts, souvenirs and mouth watering treats not least theworld famous "Clam Chowdah".CALIFORNIA KrissyCalifornia is everything you imagine. Just as you see onTV or the movies. the weather is stunning; the coastlinebreathtaking, the food is amazing and the experience..well priceless! I most enjoy driving down the coast but definitely takingit in over a few days. Between the fun and exciting citiesof San Francisco and Los Angeles, there are spectacularsmall cities like Monterey, Carmel, San Simeon and SantaBarbara that must be experienced. Imagine driving aconvertible with the top down and the sun shining withthe mist of the Pacific Ocean chilling yourskin.priceless! San Francisco is a great place to enjoy a few excursionssuch as a trip to Alcatraz or a bike ride over the GoldenGate Bridge. And don't forget when in Los Angeles to seethe very exciting Universal Studios and the OriginalDisneyland.MEXICOClaireOne of my favourite "chill-out"holidays to date has got to be Mexico. It has so much to offer from turquoisewaters to miles and miles of pristinewhite sandy beaches and of course not toforget such genuinely friendly Mexican's. If you fancy a day away from the beach why not ventureout and experience some of the real culture Mexico hasto offer such as the spectacular ancient Mayan ruins ofTulum and the world famous Chichen Itza. Anothergreat day out is the Xcaret Eco-Archaeological Parklocated in Xcaret along the Riveria Maya whereby youcan swim with the dolphins, snorkel through caves orchill out in one of the many hammocks located throughout the park. In Cancun's Hotel Zone there are a greatselection of bars, restaurants and nightclubs on offerand without a doubt the most popular and well knownvenue has got to be Coco Bongo's - a night not to bemissed!! Further down along the Riveria Maya coastyou have the beautiful quaint village of Playa delCarmen that has a selection of bars and restaurantsand also some shopping.Mexico is exceptionally good value for money and Iwould highly recommend it for families, couples, singlesand of course Honeymooners, I can guarantee you willdefinitely have trouble spending your Mexican Peso!! SAN DIEGOBronaghI spent a summer living in SanDiego; an extended holiday as myparents would have called it! SanDiego is one of the most beautifulcities in the US and has a little bitof something for everybody. It's isa city you can visit all year roundand one where you are nearly guaranteed blueskies and warm temperatures! An amazing city for food and nightlife - the gas lampdistrict comes alive in the evening with bars, restaurants and clubs. San Diego's main draw is itsbeautiful beaches and numerous tourist attractionssuch as San Diego Zoo, Mission San Diego, SanDiego Wild Animal Park and SeaWorld! Sports fanswon't be bored either as the city is home tobaseballs Padres in PETCO Park and NFL San DiegoChargers in the Qualcomm Stadium. Shopping addicts (first hand experience here) - youcan shop till you drop - or in my case till your cardstarts to smoke! Fashion valley - yes ladies a wholevalley of shops - has 200 + stores and restaurantsto fill some time on your holiday! NEW YORKLynnThose who have been to New Yorkwill agree, one trip to this amazingcity is never enough and this iswhy New York remains our top UScity break destination. Each time Ivisit it gets better as I alwaysdiscover a new street orneighbourhood with a quirky little shop or café. The hop on hop off open top bus tour is a must do theminute you arrive. It gives you a great idea as to thelay out of the city and you quickly realise how smalland easy it is to get around. A trip to Ellis Island is amemorable experience giving a great insight intoAmerican history. The Big Five Helicopter trip is alsoto be recommended, offering a stunning bird's eyeview of the city. No trip to New York would be complete without a nightat the theatre and you can have your pick of the crèmede la crème of Broadway productions but I'd highlyrecommend the old classics like Mamma Mia orPhantom of the Opera. And why not enjoy a pre-theatremeal in one of the many tasty eateries in the vicinity? There really is so much to do & see but (time &budget permitting) I would recommend a five nightbreak as the perfect duration.
