The region's fertile landscape is home to an abundance of agriculture that survives side-by-side with ancient settlements and tectonic activity. This well-established region of geographical study, with its Roman ruins and dramatic coastline, captures the imagination of all who travel there. And the unpredictability of Vesuvius has not deterred 3 million or so residents from living on and around the fertile slopes, in particular farmers and wine producers - a population that continues to increase. Why Bay of Naples with Discover the World?FREE teacher inspections trips - see our website for detailsDirect liaison with your dedicated travel specialist who has first hand experience of what the region can offer school groups Few places can offer an example of hazard management better than Mount Vesuvius and PompeiiItineraries that cover the following Geography topics: Tourism; Hazard Management; Coastal Studies; Tectonic Processes; Environmental ChangesCross-curricular opportunities include - Classics; History; Science and GeologyExciting optional activities that help to enhance the experiential learning experienced.Suggested itineraryVesuvius & Pompeii ExplorerDepartures: year roundDay 1 Depart UK / arrive Naples / SolfataraDay 2 Pompeii / Mount Vesuvius Crater walk Day 3 Isle of Capri boat trip and Island tourDay 4 Herculaneum / Sorrento Day 5 Amalfi Coast / Depart Naples / Arrive UKPlease note tours can be tailor-madePrices from£478Based on 40 students and 4 staff on a 5-day tripBay of Naples © Danilo Ascione© Vitalina Rybakova
