ACCOMMODATION TYPES REYKJAVIK many of our pre- planned self- drive itineraries begin or end with time in the capital, or possibly both. Our itineraries have been put together using deluxe rooms at Hotel Cabin, unless otherwise stated. Details on Hotel Cabin may be found in our Reykjavik section on page 25. Any of our Reykjavik hotels may be substituted, subject to availability and applicable price supplements. RURAL HOTELS & GUESTHOUSES we offer rooms with private shower/ WC ( unless otherwise stated) mostly in the 3 or 4 star range. These are in hotels or well appointed guesthouses. All supply breakfast ( included in price) and most have a restaurant ( some with seasonal opening hours). COTTAGES these are ideal for families as the self- catering establishments - cottages, cabins or wonderful summerhouses are fully equipped and have verandas with barbeques and some have outdoor hot tubs. SUMMER HOTELS we also offer accommodation for the budget-conscious traveller - generally boarding at schools whilst closed for the summer holidays.
