There were 19 runners in the Arc last year with the superstar colt Sea the Stars sent off as the odds- on favourite. Sea the Stars, trained by John Oxx and ridden by Michael Kinane, ran a magnificent race to make the Arc his sixth Group I win: the first horse to complete the 2,000 Guineas- Derby- Arc treble. Youmzain who took second position for the third consecutive year was beaten by two lengths with Cavalryman and Frankie Dettori a head back in third.

Suporting Group Races on Saturday 02 October 2010. There will be 4 excellent Group 2 races run on Saturday together with a listed race and our own PRIX HORSE RACING ABROAD. HORSE RACING ABROAD & LONGCHAMP Horse Racing Abroad has worked closely with France Galop, the French Jockey Club, for many years and is proud to be the only, officially appointed, racing tour company to bring race- goers to this event. With two days of superb Group racing, Longchamp will have its busiest weekend of the year with crowds pouring in from all over France, Europe and America. Besides creating a tremendous atmosphere of excitement and anticipation, this can also lead to overcrowding throughout the racecourse, the only exception being the exclusive Horse Racing Abroad Pavilion Grandstand area. Your tour price includes entry to Longchamp Racecourse, with access to the public areas such as the main grandstands ( without reserved seating), but it does not include entry to the Horse Racing Abroad Pavilion Grandstand, which is for the exclusive use of those clients who have purchased Pavilion Badges in advance. Our aim at Horse Racing Abroad is to ensure that you enjoy your visit to the full. With a reserved seat in our exclusive grandstand you can watch the racing in comfort and avoid the crowds in the public areas. We hope that you will join us for the 2010 Qatar Prix de L'Arc de Triomphe Weekend.
