Day 2 CairoA half daysightseeing tour of the Pyramids and the Egyptian Museum, hometo the treasures of Tutankhamun. Overnight train to Aswan.Day 3 AswanA full day to explore Aswan. Perhaps head to thebeautiful Temple of Isis at Philae or take a camel ride. In the eveninghead across the Nile for a local dinner in a Nubian village.Day 4 Abu Simbel - FeluccaEarly morning optional excursion tothe wonderful temple at Abu Simbel. In the late morning we boardour feluccas and settle down for an afternoon floating along theriver. We camp out on the deck of the felucca. Day 5 Felucca -LuxorVisit the crocodile temple at Kom Ombo before transferringby bus to Luxor. In the evening there is the option to witness thememorable sound and light show at Karnak Temple. Day 6 LuxorAn early morning visit to the Valley of the Kings and the funerarytemple of Queen Hatshepsut. Free afternoon. Day 7 HurghadaEarly morning horse-drawn carriage ride to Karnak. In the afternoonwe bid the Nile farewell and drive to Hurghada on the Red Seacoast. Day 8 HurghadaMorning boat trip out to the offshore reefs,where we can swim and snorkel amidst the brightly coloured fishand coral. Day 9 Hurghada - CairoFly back to Cairo where the restof the day is free to explore. Day 10 CairoTour ends.ITINERARY... Day 1 AmmanArrive in Amman. Day 2 JerashHeadnorth to the Roman city of Jerash. Day 3 Amman - PetraFirst visitMadaba, famous for its exquisite 6th century mosaics. Next up isMount Nebo, from where Moses looked out onto the PromisedLand, and still a very atmospheric site. Last stop is the formidablecrusader castle at Kerak, complete with dungeons that will fire thechildren's imagination! Day 4 PetraA fabulous day exploring thecity of Petra, hewn from the rock nearly 2,400 years ago by theNabateans. Day 5 Wadi RumDrive to Wadi Rum from where wejump on 4WD jeeps to explore the desert. We sleep out tonight in atraditional Bedouin tent or under the stars. Day 6 AqabaTransferto Aqaba on the Red Sea Coast. The rest of the day is free to eitherrelax or perhaps take an optional boat trip to go snorkelling. Thereare wonderful coral reefs here with an abundance of brightlycoloured fish. Day 7 Dead Sea - AmmanHead north again to theshores of the Dead Sea; at 400m below sea level it's the lowest placeon earth. We have the chance to float in the buoyant waters beforereturning to Amman.
