The ride out of Hong Kong's spectacularharbour is amazing. Days 3-5 YangshuoYangshuo, our base forthe next few days, is a picturesque riverside town set amongspectacular limestone outcrops. Cycle through the countryside, visitsmall villages and enjoy superb views of lush farmland and pagodasatop peaks. Days 6-9 Yangtze River CruiseWe board ourriverboat and start our cruise on the Yangtze. You'll see toweringcliffs plunge steeply into the river, and view the immense ThreeGorges Dam. We leave our riverboat in Fengdu and head toChongqing for the night. Days 10-12 Chengdu - Giant BuddhaInChengdu we visit the Giant Panda Breeding Research Base. Set up in1990, it aims to ensure the survival of China's cutest nationaltreasure. A day trip takes us to Leshan, where we visit 'Da Fo' - thelargest image of Buddha in the world. Days 13-14 Xi'an -Terracotta WarriorsXi'an is home to the Terracotta Warriors. We'llexplore this massive site, where over 7,000 life-size statues andhorses stand in battle formation. Afterwards, explore the markets,walk along the ancient walls and stroll through the Muslim Quarter.Days 15-17 Beijing - Great WallBeijing is simply amazing.
