Huge glaciers, spectacular views and beautiful ice formations are the reward for the successful trekker, as well as the satisfaction of conquering this mighty peak. No mountain climbing skills are required to reach the summit but it is essential that you are in good physical condition. Our 6- day trek routes allow plenty of time for acclimatisation - the Marangu Route includes an additional rest day part-way and the Rongai Route is one of the most beautiful and least used on the mountain. The ascent is not for the faint- hearted - it will test you to your limits, mentally as well as physically - but the prize of standing on top of the Roof of Africa will be worth it!
