DAY 2: CITRUSDAL- Drive to Citrusdal, where we can take short hikes or swim. ( BL) DAY 3: GARIEP RIVER ( formerly Orange River)- Crossing the border into Namibia we head for our campsite located on the banks of the Gariep River. We have the option of taking a canoe safari. ( BLD) DAY 4: FISH RIVER CANYON- We head for the awesome Fish River Canyon. There will be ample time to take in a beautiful sunset over the canyon or to relax by the pool. ( BL) DAYS 5 & 6: NAMIB NAUKLUFT NATIONAL PARK- The Namib Naukluft National Park and the giant sand dunes of Sossusvlei offer over 130 million years of natural wonder. Climb the photographic red dunes and have plenty of opportunity to explore the nearby Sesriem Canyon. ( BLD) DAYS 7 & 8: SWAKOPMUND-Swakopmund is a delightful Bavarian- style town situated snugly between sea and desert. There are plenty of activities to keep you occupied here, from deep sea fishing to sky- diving, or perhaps exploring the desert on quad bikes. ( Day7 - BL, Day8 - B) DAYS 9 & 10: ETOSHA NATIONAL PARK-Journey through a granite moonscape to Etosha National Park. Dominated by shimmering white saltpans, the park offers the chance to see elephant as well as black rhino, lion, leopard, cheetahs, oryx and various species of antelopes. ( Day 9 - BLD, Day 10 - BL) DAY 11: WATERBERG PLATEAU NATIONAL PARK- The Waterberg Plateau National Park is historically significant because it was the site of the war between the Germans and the Hereros. The area has now become a haven for many endangered species and is renowned for its incredible rock formations and walks. ( BLD) DAY 12: GOBABIS- Travel towards the border with Botswana. We stay on a private game farm dedicated to the protection of big cats. We will have the opportunity to watch the daily feeding of some of these rescued animals. ( BL) DAY 13: MAUN- Cross into Botswana and head for Maun, the gateway to the fantastic Okavango Delta. ( BL) DAYS 14 & 15: OKAVANGO DELTA - MOKORO SAFARI- Transfer into the delta where we meet our mokoro and polers. The delta is an incredible maze of inland waterways and lagoons and is a haven for wildlife and birds. We have the opportunity to go on game walks with our guides to experience the splendour of the delta. ( BLD) DAY 16: NATA- Return to Maun and continue east towards Nata. The birdlife in this area is particularly spectacular. ( BLD) DAY 17: CHOBE NATIONAL PARK- Depart Maun for Kasane. Our camp tonight is on the banks of the Chobe River and we arrive in time for a game- viewing cruise. ( BL) DAYS 18 & 19: VICTORIA FALLS- A short drive from Chobe takes us to the spectacular Victoria Falls, one of the seven natural wonders of the world. You are free to explore at your leisure. Our camp is close to all the bars, restaurants and hot spots for that last big splurge. ( B) DAY 20: VICTORIA FALLS- Tour ends. ( B) DAY 3: CHOBE NATIONAL PARK- Head for Botswana. A short drive to Kasane to our camp situated right on the banks of the Chobe River. Chobe National Park is home to the largest herds of elephant in Africa. In the afternoon we will take a guided river cruise with game viewing. ( BL) DAY 4: MAUN- A long day as we travel through Botswana and on to Maun, the gateway to the Okavango Delta. ( BLD) DAYS 5 & 6: OKAVANGO DELTA - MOKORO SAFARI- The Okavango Delta is an incredible maze of inland waterways and lagoons. We'll be on safari ' mokoro' style, poled gently along in canoes, through this haven of wildlife and birds. We also take guided game walks to experience the full splendour of the region. Overnight in wild camps. ( BLD) DAY 7: MAUN- After breakfast we are transferred back to our camp in Maun. ( BL) DAY 8: GOBABIS- Cross into Namibia. We stay near Gobabis on a private game farm, dedicated to the protection of big cats. We should have excellent opportunities for seeing lion, leopard and cheetah up close. ( BL) DAY 9: WATERBERG PLATEAU NATIONAL PARK- Travel to the Waterberg Plateau National Park. We enjoy three game drives whilst at Etosha. ( Day 10 - BLD, Day 11 - BL) DAYS 12 & 13: SWAKOPMUND- We spend two nights in Swakopmund situated snugly between sea and desert.
