( B) DAY 3: DANA- Drive to Dana village, situated inside the Dana Nature Reserve in Jordan's Rift Valley. We spend the night in a Bedouin guesthouse and prepare for our trek ahead. ( BD) DAY 4: TREK- Today we start our trek with local Bedouin guides. From Dana Nature Reserve we follow spectacular mountains and desert landscapes of deep canyons and beautiful white sandstone. The nature reserve also includes a wide variety of plants, birds and animals. We end up at Wadi Fenan where we spend the night. ( BLD) DAY 5: TREK- After breakfast we leave Wadi Fenan and head towards Wadi Araba where we are rewarded with beautiful narrow canyons, high peaks and colourful desert landscapes. This is the same route that Solomon and Aaron took in search for the Promised Land. We continue our trek today until we reach Atlal Aisouffer where we spend the night. ( BLD) DAY 6: TREK- Continue our trek past the remains of an old Edomite stronghold and up to Jebel Qaroun, overlooking Wadi Araba. We also have time to explore some ancient Nabataean ruins. ( BLD) DAY 7: TREK - PETRA- After breakfast, a short trek takes us to Little Petra, a surprisingly interesting site little visited by the main tourist stream to Petra, where we have time to explore before we transfer to Wadi Musa, close to Petra. ( B) DAY 8: PETRA- A full day to explore this magnificent site, this rose- red city ' as old as time'.( B) DAY 9: PETRA - WADI RUM- After a free morning at Petra, we travel to the spectacular desert area of Wadi Rum, site of Lawrence of Arabia's ' Seven Pillars of Wisdom', where we spend the night in a Bedouin camp. ( BD) DAY 10: KERAK - MADABA- Today we drive to Kerak where we visit the crusader castle before continuing to Madaba, famous for its mosaic and churches. ( B) DAY 11: MT NEBO - BAPTISM SITE - DEAD SEA - AMMAN- Visit Mt Nebo, where Moses saw the Promised Land and you can on clear days see the domes and spires of Jerusalem, plus the peaceful baptism site on the Jordan river where it was believed that Jesus was baptised.
