DAY 2: JERASH- Excursion to the well preserved Roman city of Jerash including the Roman Army and Chariot Experience Show at the Roman theatre there. Return back to Amman for a guided tour of the amphitheatre and the citadel. ( BD) DAY 3: BAPTISM SITE - DEAD SEA- Today we leave Amman and head to the Dead Sea. We stop en route at the baptism site on the River Jordan, where Jesus was baptised by John the Baptist. Drive to the Dead Sea, the lowest point on earth, with time to relax on the beach or float in its waters. Overnight in a luxury resort. ( BD) DAY 4: PETRA- Free morning. In the afternoon we continue to Wadi Musa, next to the hidden ' rose- red' city of Petra. In the evening we visit Petra at night, experiencing a different side to the famous site, illuminated by candlelight with the echo of Bedouin music everywhere. ( BD) DAY 5: PETRA- A whole day to explore the magnificent hidden city of Petra, a city ' as old as time'. Afterwards take a Turkish bath to soothe weary limbs. ( BD) DAY 6: WADI RUM - AQABA- In the morning, we drive to the fabulous Wadi Rum, a magnificent area of spectacular desert scenery that was once ' home' to Lawrence of Arabia and his ' Seven Pillars of Wisdom'. We enjoy a jeep ride around the area before we head to our Bedouin camp at Disi oasis for dinner. After dinner we head to our hotel in Aqaba. ( BLD) DAY 7: AQABA- A free day to explore this Red Sea city or to relax on the beach. ( BD) DAY 8: MT NEBO - KERAK - MADABA - AMMAN- A full day takes us from Aqaba to Kerak to explore its fantastic Crusader castle then to the holy site of Moses' Mt Nebo to view the ' Promised Land'. We then head to Madaba with its churches and mosaic before we end back to Amman. In the evening, enjoy a farewell dinner in a traditional Jordanian restaurant.
