DAY 3 / HALONG BAY - Travel to Halong Bay for an exciting boat trip amongst towering limestone cliffs, hundreds of spectacular islands and clear blue seas - a true fairytale setting. This spectacular collection of limestone pinnacles is the first of three UNESCO World Heritage sites on the trip.DAY 4 / HANOI - HUE - Return to Hanoi and board the famous Reunification Express overnight train. Head south glimpsing scenes of rural life from the train window.DAY 5 / HUE - Arrive Hué, the cultural capital. Here we will travel by boat along the Perfume River to the tombs of the ancient Nguyen dynasty.DAY 6 / HUE - Free timeDAYS 7-9 / HOI AN - Travel to the charming town of Hoi An. We have three nights to savour the atmosphere of this tranquil old port, our favourite place in Vietnam. Old Chinese temples and colourful markets dot almost every corner.DAY 2 / BAKO NATIONAL PARK - Follow jungle trails in search of proboscis monkeys and wild boar amongst many other exotic species.DAY 3 / IBAN VILLAGE STAY - Set off by road and longboat deep into Sarawak, where with our Iban hosts we will hike jungle trails, try Iban-style fishing and swim at a waterfall, giving you a true picture of Iban lifestyle, culture and hospitality.
