Day 2 / Jerusalem We spend a full day visiting historic Jerusalem including the Old City, Western Wall, Via Dolorosa (Stations of the Cross), Church of the Holy Sepulchre, Garden of Gethsemane and Yad Vashem (Israel's Holocaust Museum). Day 3 / Nazareth - Sea of Galilee - Jerusalem We drive north to Nazareth and visit the Church of the Annunciation and the Church of St Joseph, then pass by the baptism site on the Jordan River before reaching the town of Tiberias, by the Sea of Galilee. Day 4 / BETHLEHEM - Jericho - Masada We visit the biblical cities of Jericho and Bethlehem before driving through the Judean Desert to enjoy a walk up the Snake Path to Masada, the fortress of King Herod and the last stronghold of the Zealots, before descending to the Dead Sea. We then return to Jerusalem for our final night. Day 5 / Jerusalem Our trip ends after breakfast in Jerusalem, you can book further accommodation in Jerusalem or Tel Aviv if you wish to extend your stay in Israel.

It was formed thousands of years ago as volcanic ash settled, hardened into soft rock and then eroded, forming strange and fantastic spires, domes and gorges. Day 25-26 / Capadocia We explore the Pasabaglari (Priest Valley) and walk through the Kizilcukur (Red Valley). We experience a traditional Turkish meal with a local family in their village. Day 27 / Ankara - overnight train We visit Derinkuyu - an incredible underground city that descends eight floors below the surface. We then depart by public bus for Ankara travelling through typical Anatolian landscape. Day 28 / Istanbul Our local guide shows us the treasures of the Old Town including the iconic Blue Mosque and the Hippodrome. We visit St Sophia and then catch a ferry between Europe and Asia. Day 29-30 / Istanbul We head to Topaki Palace this morning. The afternoon is free to explore; the exotic Spice Market and famous Grand Bazaar are well worth a visit.
