Plus there is an optional night game drive. We camp inside the park and get close to nature.Day 3 / Mozambique After enjoying a morning game drive, we cross the border into Mozambique.Day 4 / InHambane We make the journey to Inhambane, one of Mozambique's oldest settlements.Day 5 / InHambane Today we enjoy a full day exploring Inhambane, relax on the beach or participate in a variety of optional activities.Day 6 / Vilanculos After seeing all that Inhambane has to offer, we drive along the coast to our next destination, Vilanculos.Day 7 / Vilanculos Vilanculos is the gateway to the gateway to the Bazaruto Archipelago. Today we are free to explore the town, relax on the beach or participate in some of our optional activities.Day 8 / Zimbabwe Today we cross the border into Zimbabwe and travel overnight to Mutare.Day 9 / Zimbabwe We drive to the Great Zimbabwe Ruins for an afternoon tour. Then we head off to Antelope Park which is where we spend the next two nights.Day 10 / Zimbabwe Today is a free day at Antelope Park where you can participate in some optional activities such as 'walking with lions', a 'night encounter' safari or ride and swim with elephants.Day 11 / Matobo After an early start we arrive at Matobo National Park. No activities are planned, so you may arrive at any time. Day 2-3 / Masai Mara National Reserve Our first game-viewing destination is the world famous Masai Mara National Reserve. We spend two nights in a permanent tented camp on the fringe of the Masai Mara and explore the wildlife with morning and afternoon game drives. Day 4 / Lake Naivasha Lake Naivasha, one of Kenya's two Great Rift Valley lakes, is the centre of a thriving trade in cut flower exports and any number of optional adventure activities. Day 5 / Lake Naivasha - East Africa Mission Orphanage This morning, - take part in an optional activity - perhaps mountain-biking or a walking safari amongst giraffes. Our campsite for the next two nights is located at the East Africa Mission Orphanage in Nakuru. Our visit helps support this incredible project. Dinner with the kids is an absolute highlight. Day 6 / Lake Nakuru National Park We take a full day's game drive in neighbouring Lake Nakuru National Park. This park is set around the soda lake, the soapy waters attracting both greater and lesser flamingos in their millions. Day 7 / East Africa Mission Orphanage - Kericho This morning we spend time with the children in school, sitting in on lessons or enjoying an activity, before continuing on to the Kenyan Highlands. Time permitting, we will visit Kenya's tea growing estates before reaching our campsite at Kericho. Day 8-9 / Jinja (Nile River) We cross the equator into the northern hemisphere and travel to Lake Victoria before entering Uganda. Our drive takes us through some very scenic landscapes before we again reach Lake Victoria at Jinja, the point where the lake empties into the Victoria Nile. Day 10 / Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary Leaving Jinja, the cheeky chimpanzees of Ngamba Island await as we take a boat from Entebbe to the island sanctuary. Meeting the apes we find out more about their history before heading back to Entebbe. Day 11-12 / Queen Elizabeth National Park From Entebbe, we travel west to Queen Elizabeth National Park and our campsite for the next two nights. Here we take morning and afternoon game drives as well as an amazing boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel. Day 13 / Ruhengeri Today we depart Queen Elizabeth National Park for the long drive through to the north of Rwanda, the Land of 1,000 Hills. Ruhengeri is our site for our final two nights of camping and the base for our trek in search of gorillas. Day 14 / Parc National des Volcans - Gorila Treking Today is the eagerly anticipated day when we come face to face with the highly endangered mountain gorillas. With just over 700 left in the world, it is indeed a real privilege to be allowed within metres of these gentle giants. Day 15 / Kigali We take the short drive south to Rwanda's capital city, Kigali. Our final activity is a visit to the haunting Genocide memorial. Our tour ends around lunch time.
