No activities are planned, so you may arrive at any time. Day 2-3 / Khama Rhino Sanctuary - Maun Khama Rhino Sanctuary is dedicated to preserving and breeding Botswana's last remaining rhino population. Our stopover here helps to support the Community Trust in paying for the maintenance of this unique project. Day 4-6 / Okavango Delta - Maun We venture into the Kalahari sands and then the spectacular delta region. We enjoy game walks and mokoro (dug-out canoe) cruises before returning to Maun, where we have the chance to take an optional scenic flight over the delta. Day 7-8 / Chobe National Park Chobe and Hwange National Parks form an interconnected stomping ground for large numbers of wildlife, including, most prominently, several thousand elephants. We have the option for an early morning game drive before ending the day with a relaxing afternoon cruise on the Chobe River. Day 9-10 / Victoria Fals Victoria Falls is known by the local Kololo tribe as 'Mosi-oa-Tunya' (the smoke that thunders). Enthusiasts of adrenalin rush activities may choose to do some of the optional adventure activities including bungee jumping, Grade 5 whitewater rafting and much more. Day 11-12 / Hwange National Park From Victoria Falls we then continue on to Hwange National Park for two days of wonderful wildlife-viewing. Day 13-14 / Antelope Park This is one of the most amazing places on the African continent. After all, where else can you walk in the African bush accompanied by lion cubs (and survive to tell the tale!)? Day 15 / Great Zimbabwe Ruins We spend a night camping just outside these colossal structures and then explore them with our local guide, who will regale us with tales of their fascinating past. Day 16 / Tshipse Hot Springs Returning to South Africa we stop at Tshipse Hot Springs, near Messina. The natural sulphur hot springs have been channelled into two large outdoor pools, designed for complete relaxation. Day 17-18 / Kruger National Park You cannot visit South Africa without setting foot in Kruger National Park. We ensure you get your Kruger fix with two days exploring this immense game reserve in search of some of its many species of wildlife. Day 19-21 / Blyde River Canyon - Pilgrim's Rest - Pretoria/Johannesburg We travel through the Panorama region and stay overnight at a stunning campsite near Graskop. We explore the viewpoints in beautiful Blyde River Canyon and visit the historic town of Pilgrim's Rest, before continuing to our final camp near Pretoria. We head off the beaten track to spend seven days in parks and conservation areas, staying at a local orphanage, interacting with local tribes and visiting a very special school.Trip InfoDeparture DatesDay 1 / Nairobi Our trip starts today in Nairobi. No activities are planned, so you may arrive at any time. Day 2 / East Africa Mission Orphanage - Nakuru Leaving Nairobi we travel to Kenya's fourth largest town, Nakuru. We spend the next two nights camping at the East Africa Mission Orphanage. Here we can interact with the kids with the knowledge that our visit helps to support this worthy project. Dinner with the kids will be a major highlight! Day 3 / Lake Nakuru National Park Today we enter Lake Nakuru National Park for a day of game driving searching for lion, Cape buffalo, white rhino and the elusive leopard. Lake Nakuru is famous for its flamingo population. Day 4 / Lake Naivasha This morning we travel to Kenya's most famous freshwater lake, Lake Naivasha. After setting up camp we have the afternoon at leisure where we can enjoy an optional walk in a nature sanctuary, cycle in Hell's Gate National Park or visit Elsamere. Day 5-6 / Masai Mara National Reserve We head south to the Masai Mara wildlife reserve. Our campsite borders the park and we explore the open grasslands on a full day game drive and watch a wonderful procession of Africa's wildlife. Day 7-8 / Kenyan Highlands - Lake Victoria Leaving the Masai Mara we head up amidst the tea estates of Kenya's central highlands and set up camp. Crossing into Tanzania we then camp on the shores of Lake Victoria, Africa's largest lake. Day 9-11 / Serengeti National Park - Ngorongoro Crater We enjoy marvellous game viewing all around us here, as our two nights are spent camping in the heart of the game-rich Serengeti Plains. Traversing the Serengeti we enter the adjacent Ngorongoro Conservation Area and camp on the crater rim. Day 12 / Ngorongoro Crater - Mto Wa Mbu Transferring to 4WD vehicles we drive down to the crater floor where we explore this world-famous wildlife sanctuary. We then travel to our next campsite in Mto Wa Mbu. This colourful town is an interesting place to wander around and has a great market. Day 13 / Arusha The morning will allow free time for an optional visit to a local Masai village to meet the Masai people, or simply wander around the local craft market. We continue on to Arusha for our final two nights together. Day 14 / Arusha - School of St Jude This morning we visit a very special school in Arusha, the School of St Jude. We learn about the school, spend time with the children and experience the weekly school assembly. Memories of these encounters will surely be something to treasure. Day 15 / Arusha - Nairobi Our tour ends in Arusha this morning, after breakfast. From Arusha, you can choose to take our free transfer back to Nairobi, arriving in the early evening.
