Alpine Ski Course Leader - ASCLThe ASCL course is a Snowsport England coursedesigned to give party leaders the ability to shapejudgements leading to the responsible leadership andsupervision of skiers whilst skiing within recognised,pisted skiing areas. Holders of the award are accreditedto lead groups of skiers with whom they have a pre-existing relationship, for example students from aneducational establishment within which they areemployed. Courses are held on snow in the Aosta Valleyand last one week.Alpine Ski Leader Course - ASLThe ASL qualification is a Snowsport Scotland coursewidely recognised by local authorities in Scotland as themost appropriate award for skiers taking sole charge ofgroups in the mountain environment. The award coversresponsibilities including planning, organising, leadingand teaching. The ASL award is valid in the mountainsand also on dry slopes and indoor snow slopes. Courses are held on snow in the Aosta Valley and lastone week.Snowboard Leader Course - SBLThe SBL course is a Snowsport Scotland coursedesigned to train responsible snowboarders to safelylead groups of snowboarders within ski patrolled areas.The award is primarily aimed at teachers, youth groupleaders and other responsible adults. Courses are heldon snow in the Aosta Valley and last one week.Snowsport Course Organiser - SCOThe Snowsport Course Organiser award is a basiccourse designed to enable leaders to organise school,club and youth group ski courses safely, responsibly,efficiently and in such a way as to give maximumeducational benefit (in skiing terms) to young people. It isalso a pre-requisite of the ASCL award. We run 1-daySCO courses in our Mansfield head office.First Aid CoursesThis award is specifically tailored to all those working withyoung people in an outdoor environment. It is also a pre-requisite of the ASCL award.
