The Climb was done in memory of our son Óisin Christie who was stillborn on the 14th November 2007. The day our lives changed forever. Nothing could have prepared us for the pain and heartache that was ahead. I had a difficult pregnancy and went into early labour but never for a minute did we think any thing would or could go wrong, not even when I was in labour, did I think this could happen to us. Óisin was born under horrendous circumstances in the hospital I attended, weighing 1lb 9 ozs . He was perfect in every way, but had no heartbeat. Two days later in a haze of tears and pain, we buried our beloved baby in Caldra Cemetery, less than one mile from our home. We had two other children at home so we had to try pulling ourselves together for them. We have had one more little boy since then, but think of and visit Óisin all the time.
