Bobbin Turned Joynt Stool A faded walnut Joynt stool, solid rectangular seat on bobbin turned legs joined by stretchers. The original Charles I circa 1630. Joynt stools were generally used as we would now use carver chairs. At a refectory table one would see two long benches on either side of the table and the Joynt stools would be used at the either ends.
