Safari Drive loves Botswana’s National Parks, deserts, pans and deltas – in fact, they are some of the last great untouched wildernesses in Southern Africa. Our partner in Botswana has worked in the safari business all her life and turns out vehicles of an extremely high standard for our self drive clients’ use. She welcomes you on arrival in Botswana and briefs you on all aspects of your planned Safari Drive journey. She is also there if there are any problems during your trip – she has an excellent back-up network allowing you to go off and explore in the knowledge that help is just around the corner should you need it. Our long term experience Safari Drive was the first company to offer fully inclusive self drive safaris in Botswana, and although a handful of companies do now offer self drive, we believe our experience and knowledge of this region allows us to provide the most comprehensive, exciting and fulfilling safaris. Parts of Botswana are totally wild and its dangers must be respected. At Safari Drive we leave nothing to chance, which means that you can have a great holiday minus the risks that the uninformed have experienced. For the less experienced A few days spent in the bush at a lodge or a mobile camp is a great way to wet your toes before setting off on your own; you receive plenty of tips from a local guide and your recently acquired bush knowledge will enable you to enjoy your holiday even more. We can arrange for you to be met and flown in to the Okavango Delta (inaccessible by road) to a lodge or camp of your choice and back to Maun afterwards to collect your vehicle.
