Safari Drive in Tanzania A real adventure Tanzania is one Safari Drive destination that we like to recommend to our more adventurous clients. It can allow for an extremely exciting and much more hands-on safari. The camping is challenging and the experience thrilling. We use private campsites located deep in the heart of the national parks. They may lack the facilities you find elsewhere in Africa but they benefit from some absolutely stunning locations. Our Tanzanian vehicles are slightly different from those used in our other destinations. Geared to suit their environment, they have a roof top viewing hatch to maximise game watching opportunities. The roof tents are replaced by ground tents and vehicle design does not support a refrigeration unit. Our Tanzanian operations Our operations are based at Arusha and are managed by a highly experienced couple, who know the areas through which you will travel extremely well. We tend to include the northern parks in our itineraries not only as they have the most game but also as a means of cutting down on the enormous distances necessitated by travelling to the southern parks. Our favourite places to visit are Lake Manyara, the Tarangire National Park, the Ngorongoro Crater, the Serengeti, Lake Natron and Lake Eyasi. Selous, Ruaha, Katavi and Mahale are easily reached by air. We can include any number of these in our Safari Drive itineraries. T A N Z A N I A T A N Z A N I A 45
