Safari Drive in Kenya With Safari Drive, you can see a wild and unspoiled side of this fabulous country so rarely experienced by foreign visitors, who choose the crowded parks of the south over the splendour and remoteness of Safari Drive terrain. Kenya is one of our latest Safari Drive destinations and one that we are very excited about. The parts of Kenya we travel to are far from the madding crowd of zebra stripe mini-buses and the frantic clicking of cameras. We are in a position to transport you to huge tracts of privately owned land, where the game wanders freely without the restriction of fences. We take you into the heart of some of the world’s top conservation areas, onto community owned land and into the less visited National Parks and Reserves, staying in fabulous lodges and magnificent private camps. For self drive safaris we recommend the areas to the north. The honey pot parks of the Mara, Amboseli and Tsavo are not so suitable for self drive, as distances are huge and these areas are very busy. K E N Y A K E N Y A The Kenyan Coast We have discovered lots of great locations on the Kenyan coast and here are just two of them; Alfajiri Villas, Diani Beach Alfajiri comprises three sensational villas overlooking Diani Beach. They are owned by a stylish Italian couple and are beautifully furnished. A glamorous white pillared pavilion, the cliff villa has a gorgeous infinity pool and four ensuite bedrooms, one of which is an ultra romantic turret suite with floor-to-ceiling glass walls. Activities include golf, tennis, water sports, deep-sea fishing and fabulous spa treatments. Manda Bay, Lamu Archipelago Here you stay in one of ten private bandas set right on the beach, a few yards from the water. Built from local materials and adorned with wonderful local furniture, this is a fabulous place. The food is delicious and your hosts, who own the lodge, look after you brilliantly. Here, you can spend days relaxing on the private beach, do all the usual water sports and go for a day trip to the surreal bustle of Lamu Town. S A F A R I D R I V E 0 1 4 8 8 7 1 1 4 0 57 |
