Later visit the most ancient and mysterious site in England, Stonehenge. After your visit, drive to Bath, a world heritage site and see the famous Roman Baths. Breakfast (N) Dinner (Y)Day 2: (Sunday) Bath - Blackpool Check-out and depart for Blackpool, the biggest and most popular seaside resort in the UK. Blackpool offers just about everything, from high speed roller coasters and casinos to a great beach. Upon arrival you will have the rest of the day at leisure to enjoy and explore the city. Entrance to attractions is not included.Breakfast (Y) Dinner (Y)Day 3: (Monday) Blackpool - Gretna Green - Glasgow - EdinburghDepart for Gretna Green, the UK's most famous place to get married and home of the world famous Iron Forgeries. Here enjoy time to purchase souvenirs for friends and family. Later depart for Glasgow; upon arrival enjoy the numerous sights which will include Glasgow Cathedral. George Square, the City Chambers and the famous University of Glasgow. Later depart for Edinburgh for your overnight stay. Breakfast (Y) Dinner (Y)Day 4: (Tuesday) Edinburgh - Inverness Visit the famous Edinburgh Castle with its remarkable views of Edinburgh and the ancient Scottish crown jewels. Descend the hill through the Royal Mile to see St Giles' Cathedral and its crown shaped spire. Later visit a local whisky distillery for a short tour. Continue to Inverness through the rugged and romantic Scottish Highlands. Note: The whisky distillery may be covered on day five.Breakfast (Y) Dinner (Y)Day 5: (Wednesday) Inverness - Fort Williams - Lake DistrictEn route to Fort William, view the famous Loch Ness, home of the illusive Monster Nessie. Continue the scenic drive to Fort William, to visit the Nevis Range. On arrival enjoy the ascent to the summit by cable car whilst enjoying breathtaking scenery of the surrounding mountains (visit to Nevis Range is weather permitting). Later depart for Lake District (driving time approx. six hours); home of the Romantics, William Wordsworth and Beatrix Potter.Breakfast (Y) Dinner (Y)Day 6: (Thursday) Lake District - Stratford upon Avon - LondonThis morning embark on a cruise on the largest body of water in the Lake District, Lake Windermere. Depart for Stratford upon Avon, the birth place of William Shakespeare. Here take pleasure in the traditional Elizabethan cottages, Shakespeare's Home, the Gower Memorial and a walk to the Holy Trinity Church.
