Our African odyssey begins in Cape Town. We take a township tour before travelling north. We then move on to Namibia where we enjoy awesome views over the dramatic Fish River Canyon.DAYS 4-5 Fish River Canyon to Namib Naukluft Park. Next we can explore the world's highest sand dunes in the Namib Naukluft Park, and absorb the shifting colours of the Namib Desert.DAYS 6-7 Swakopmund. Namibia's favourite coastal playground Swakopmund is a lively resort where we can sample adventure activities such as skydiving and quad biking.DAY 8 Swakopmund to Spitzkoppe. We continue through Damaraland and camp amongst the peculiar granite formations at Spitzkoppe, where ancient Bushmen paintings are still visible on the rocks.DAYS 9-10 Spitzkoppe to Etosha National Park. In Etosha National Park we get to observe Namibia's varied wildlife drinking at its year round waterholes. DAYS 11-12 Windhoek to Ghanzi, Botswana. After visiting the attractive Namibian capital Windhoek we head to Botswana, where in Ghanzi we take a cultural Bushmen walk to learn about life in the Kalahari region.DAYS 13-15 Ghanzi to Okavango Delta. Next we embark on an exciting wilderness adventure in the Okavango Delta, including a night camping amongst its tranquil islands and watery channels. By day we view game on foot and from mokoro canoes.DAYS 16-17 Okavango to Chobe National Park. Continuing to Chobe National Park, we have the opportunity to game drive through beautiful scenery and relax on a sunset River Cruise, when we hope to see the African fish eagle and perhaps also elephant, hippo and buffalo coming to drink from the river.DAYS 18-21 Chobe National Park to Livingstone, Zambia. From Chobe we cross into Zambia and spend four nights on the banks of the Zambezi near Livingstone. We have plenty of free time here to unwind or enjoy optional activities such as white water rafting, abseiling, canoeing, bungee jumping, horse riding and more! The nearby Victoria Falls are also one of Africa's greatest spectacles, and taking time to see them (perhaps by scenic flight) is an absolute must. DAYS 22-23 Livingstone to Lusaka. From Livingstone we drive north, stopping at the Kafue River for a cruise and visit to a local village, before continuing to Lusaka.DAYS 24-25 Lusaka to Lilongwe. We move on to welcoming Malawi and trade one capital for another as we check out Lilongwe.DAYS 26-28 Lake Malawi. Mighty Lake Malawi is our home for a couple of days, relaxing on the beach or trying out some water sports. There's also the opportunity to meet the locals, some of the friendliest in Africa.DAYS 29-30 Lake Malawi to Dar es Salaam. Crossing the border into Tanzania we enjoy some stunning drives as we pass Mikumi National Park, before reaching the coast and the bustling city of Dar es Salaam.DAYS 31-33 Zanzibar. We cross by ferry for three nights on exotic and historic Zanzibar, exploring the intriguing alleyways of old 'Stone Town' and relaxing on the gorgeous northern beaches - truly the Indian Ocean at its finest.DAYS 34-36 Dar es Salaam to Arusha. After returning to 'Dar' for a night we travel north, when we may just glimpse the snowy peak of majestic Mt. Kilimanjaro. Our destination is Tanzania's safari hub, Arusha, DAY 37 Arusha. Today we can shop for knick-knacks in local markets, visit the Meserani Snake Park, and meet the residents of a Maasai village.DAYS 38-40 Serengeti National Park - Ngorongoro Crater - Arusha. We switch to 4x4s to explore the Serengeti National Park, Olduvai Gorge and Ngorongoro Crater for three days. Serengeti and Ngorongoro are two of the finest game reserves in Africa and promise spectacular scenery, and plenty of wildlife.DAY 41 Arusha to Nairobi, Kenya.
