San Francisco is where the gold rush started and, where our adventure begins. After exploring the city, we head for the simply sensational Yosemite. Walk beneath giant Sequoias, hike one of the many trails leading to spectacular vistas and waterfalls. Then sit back and take it all in. Day 3 Sierra Nevada- A walk in the clear, fresh air of the Sierra Nevada's stunning scenery will energize you for the next day's adventure in Vegas! Day 4 Las Vegas ( H)- Entering desert landscapes, check out Route 66 en route to Las Vegas. It's the self- declared entertainment capital of the world, so cruise the Strip in a limo and hit the clubs! Day 5/ 6 Grand Canyon National Park- No trip west is complete without a stop at the Grand Canyon. Pack your best boots and don't forget your camera for a sunrise/ sunset hike along the rim. Then take it easier the next day and take to the skies for cool helicopter ride. Day 7 Monument Valley - Heading into the iconic valley of monuments used in Hollywood scenes from Westerns to 2001: A Space Odyssey and everything in between. Try a Navajo Jeep tour and say " Action". Day 8/ 9 Arches National Park- Utah's Arches National Park has over 2000 natural sandstone arches and many other unusual rock formations. Catch a sunset behind Delicate Arch then go canyoneering or on a Hummer tour the next day for an exhilarating red rock adventure. Day 10/ 11 Colorado Rockies- Two days to explore the mountains and trails of the Colorado Rockies. It's a climbing, hiking and pedalling adrenaline junkie paradise. Day 12 Denver ( H)- You can't get much higher than The Mile High City, but with 80 beers brewed locally and a thriving club scene, you're sure to enjoy! Day 13 Lake McConaughy- The original Big Mac. Over 20 miles long and with 100 miles of shoreline, it's equipped for any lakeside activity so get kitted up and get out there. Day 14 Plate River Valley- With spectacular views of the Mighty Mo ( Missouri River), follow the highway and original trail used by the Pony Express. Day 15 Amana Colonies- Heading east over the prairies of Iowa we travel back in time to stop in one of the earliest German settlements in America, where an included feast provides a hearty last meal - Prost! Day 16 Chicago- Our last day of the adventure comes to a finale in sweet home Chicago! Home to the best deep dish pizza and the Miracle Mile, we'll say our farewells before exploring Chi- town's famous nightlife.
