40 Whether you're negotiating the switch- back trail to the lofty heights of Angels Landing or descending into the depths of the Grand Canyon nearly a mile below the earth's surface, sometimes the hardest challenges offer the richest rewards. Test your mettle on the near vertical hikes of the Franconia Notch and conquer your fear of heights rock- climbing in Acadia National Park or satisfy your need for speed with some full- suspension downhill mountain biking on Mt. Killington in Vermont. Our Xtra Adventures will ensure that you delve deeper into the wilds with an overnight canoe trip, get closer to nature with some whale watching from a Zodiac and even don a hard hat, venturing underground for some incredible caving in British Columbia. And if you really want to feel the true spirit of adventure, western style, spend a night out under the stars at our cowboy camp in Arizona, complete with authentic chuck wagon dinner and horse trekking. Jump on an extreme Hummer tour in Moab and lay your chips on the table in Vegas; because adrenalin comes in all shapes and sizes. You could soon be coming face to face with a black bear, watching killer whales from a kayak or mountain bike the famous Slickrock trail overlooking the Colorado River and Arches National Park. But nothing comes close to the head over heals experience of the zip- line tour on our new 10 day Canadian Adventure, soaring along ziplines up to 2000 ft long and 200 ft above the valley floor, while reaching speeds of nearly 40 miles/ hr.. and if that doesn't get your heart pumping Whistler's spectacular scenery will have your jaw dropping. TrekAmerica's thirst for adventure is unquenchable and we're definitely not alone. Even though all our tours offer a good dose of adventure, it's clear that some of you just can't get enough.
