The scenic Yosemite National Park region is ' home' for the next three nights. After a visit to the Giant Sequoias, Yosemite Valley beckons. You may bicycle, take a dip in the Merced River or wander the meadows. Everyone will enjoy hiking one of the many trails that allow you to leave the crowds behind. The famous sites situated along these trails include Yosemite Falls, Nevada Falls, Vernal Falls, Mirror Lake and Half Dome. The views are breathtaking from every vantage point - the granite formations of Half Dome, El Capitan and Cathedral Rocks will forever be etched on your mind. From Yosemite's towering sequoias we continue through the Sierra Nevada to our campground located in the high desert. Next, Zion National Park, and two days in the park to hike to Emerald Pools, ford the Narrows or climb to Angel's Landing. Bryce Canyon National Park follows with its unique turrets and spires, and a chance to explore the area with a hike on the Queen's Garden, Navajo Loop or Peekaboo Loop trails, before a short drive to our lovely campsite at Kodachrome Basin State Park. From here we continue to beautiful Lake Powell for a day of fun in the sun. The next camp is on the Navajo Tribal Lands of Monument Valley, and is a true photographer's paradise. We will discover some of the area's hidden secrets on our included 4x4 and walking tour with Navajo guides. There is also ample time to relax, shop for native wares and view the valley's surreal sunset. The awesome Grand Canyon is sure to be a stop to remember. Take a scenic flight or a ranger guided nature walk along the rim, experience the wonder of IMAX or, for the really active, hike into the canyon to get a better appreciation of its scale and grandeur. Leaving nature behind, we head into Las Vegas and all of its neon splendour. Here you ´ ll have time for some last minute bargain shopping or to relax by the pool before a big night of bright lights, casinos and world class shows. Heading high into the Sierra Nevada Mountains to the magnificent Yosemite National Park, we begin with an easy trail walk to the Giant Sequoias before our two night stay at the historic Wawona Lodge. After enjoying the included welcome dinner at the lodge, you will be ready for Yosemite! Enjoy a full day exploring the park's waterfalls and spectacular glacier- hewn gorges before returning to the hotel to relax with a cocktail on the veranda. Leaving the park we continue our journey to the vibrant forest and deep blue of Lake Tahoe. From Tahoe we delve deeper into the vast Nevada Desert for some grand scenery. Our next destination, Yellowstone National Park, is the world's first National Park and home to a large variety of wildlife including grizzly bears, wolves, bison and elk. We will explore the park's majestic wilderness and some of the world's most extraordinary geysers, then return to relax at the historic Lake Yellowstone Lodge. Travelling past Grand Teton National Park, we visit Jackson to enjoy a friendly and authentic old west experience. Once home to trappers, Jackson is now home to lovely hiking trails, as well as cafes and western style saloons! After a night in Salt Lake City, we continue to Arches, home to over 2,000 natural sandstone arches as well as the brilliant Delicate Arch trail, for some off- road touring and incredible vistas. Next, we visit the spectacular and unforgettable Monument Valley - the ancestral homeland of the Navajo tribe - America's largest. Our Navajo guide will provide you with a unique insight into the Navajo culture and the highlights of the Valley. We arrive at the Grand Canyon NP for a two night stay at the Grand Canyon North Rim Lodge. Located on the less travelled North Rim we enjoy exploring the natural beauty of the Canyon at our own pace before retiring to the lodge to relax and take in the expansive views of the Canyon below, not to mention the glorious sunrise!
