Two nights are spent in the heart of the town at the Hansa Hotel – explore nearby Walvis Bay, take a drive to the seal colony at Cape Cross, or simply enjoy the heritage of the town. DayS 7- 8 The next leg of your journey is by road, travelling northeast into Damaraland to the famous Twyfelfontein engravings. Two nights are spent at Mowani Mountain Lodge with the chance to explore locally in your own vehicle. DayS 9- 10 Depart by air for the frontier of the northern Kunene region. Arrive at the Hartmann Valley and transfer through ma­jestic scenery to Serra Cafema. You’ll meet the local Himba people and explore the mountains by quad bike, on foot, by vehicle or on a river cruise. Driv­ing there brings a whole new meaning to the term ‘ off the beaten track’. DayS 1- 3 Windhoek followed by a night near Outjo before heading into Damara­land and the magnificently positioned Grootberg Lodge for two nights. Here you can enjoy the spectacular views across the flat- topped mountains of the Grootberg Pass and enjoy an inclusive desert elephant nature drive. DayS 4- 5 Continuing northwards, the next two nights are spent at Mopane Camp just outside Opuwo, the main community within the traditional lands of the Himba people, whom you will meet during a village visit. DayS 6- 9 Next stop is Epupa Falls and the Kunene River. Two nights at Omarunga Camp near the falls with a sundown tour are followed by two nights at Kunene River Lodge and a trip out on a quad bike. Rafting and canoeing are also available. DayS 10- 12 For the final leg of the jour­ney you will head to Etosha National Park for two nights of outstanding wildlife viewing out of Namutoni. You can drive yourself or take one of the guided game drives on offer from the rest camp.
