The intimate five-tent Kalamu Bush Camp ( formerly known as Kalamu Tented Camp) will be closed for the duration of the 2009 season. Meanwhile Kalamu Lagoon Camp ( previously known as Kwena Lagoon) will open in June 2009 for the winter season and will feature eight reed- and- canvas tents under deep shade on the banks of the Luamfwa Lagoon. This larger camp is situated on the edge of the Luamfwa Lagoon, just 3.5km from the Kalamu Bush Camp site and five minutes drive from the airstrip.
