False 10 Travel Zambia May 2008

False May 2008 Travel Zambia 11 In the frame Elephants on the march, Luangwa Valley Andy Hogg Andy Hogg founded The Bushcamp Company ( www. classicbushcamps. com) in the South Luangwa National Park in 1999, having first moved to the park in 1983. He snapped this remarkable shot in February 2008 from a microlight close to Tafika Camp, north of the Nsefu Sector. The image gives a glimpse of former times, when the Luangwa Valley was home to one of Africa’s densest elephant populations. “ It’s great to see these big herds again,” says Andy. “ This was the most elephants I’d ever seen together in the valley – though it was hard to keep the camera still.”
