It is working with Proflight to transfer bookings and minimise any disruption. This decision was taken in the light of ever- increasing fuel costs, and is part of a programme of ' rationalisation and consolidation', which in due course will see changes on most routes. Mutembo Nchito, CEO of Zambian Airways, expressed his confidence that this exercise will enable the airline to continue contributing to the growth of aviation in Zambia during these very difficult economic times. He added that it would help protect Zambian Airways' two most important assets: " Our staff and our passengers." Proflight Zambia has released its Emerald Season schedule and 2009 Safari Season schedules. These include twice- daily flights between Lusaka and Livingstone ( Mondays- Fridays).
