Terms & Conditions 18 Terms and conditions apply. Offers are subject to availability which may be strictly limited. We reserve the right to withdraw offers at any time. © The Global Travel Group Plc 2009 Planning your big day in a faraway place isn't as stressful as you might think as long as you're organised… Climate clarity… Check out the climate of your chosen destination to avoid booking in hurricane season, for example. Also consider outfits and the bridal dress to ensure everyone is comfortable as well as stylish - men in top hat and tails may not be ideal in 30oC heat! Legal eagle… Ensure you are clear on what paperwork you will need and any other legalities. Some destinations have a minimum residence stay before you get married so you may need to arrive a few days before your big day – perfect for additional pre- wedding pampering. Contact the embassy in the country you would like to get married for full information on their requirements and, most importantly, ensure your passport is valid. Peace of mind… Take out both travel and wedding insurance for peace of mind and ensure you read all the small print so you know exactly what is covered. Your day, your way… Think about the type of wedding you want and who will be coming. If you want a more intimate ceremony it's a good idea to avoid large venues and remember if you're inviting a number of guests give as much notice as possible allowing them to plan a holiday around your wedding day. Continue the celebrations… Consider organising a wedding party for when you return home to catch up with guests who were unable to make it and show off those fantastic wedding photographs. It's an opportunity for brides to wear their beautiful wedding dress again too which is certainly an advantage! Relax and enjoy… Once you've made the initial plans let someone else do all the hard work. Take advantage of any Wedding Coordinators available as part of a package and if you're having bridesmaids and a best man give them a list of responsibilities to ease the pressure – you'll be surprised how happy people will be to help out and feel like they've contributed to making your big day perfect.
