F O R R E S E R V A T I O N S C A L L U S O N 0845 130 6982 Livingstone, Victoria Falls 74 The Victoria Falls is an exceptional area and therefore worthy of special mention. It is an African crossroads, a meeting place of Zambia, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Namibia and Angola - and a beautiful one at that! During the dry season months of June to October there is barely any water tumbling over the towering rock face of the gorge, and from September to October you can walk across the rocks on the Zambian side to Livingstone Island and sit and wonder at the spectacle. During the green season from November to May it is a different story altogether - the water passes over the lip of the Falls in a terrifying, voracious, unsympathetic mass, plundering everything in its path. In and around the Falls area of course there are numerous things to do – Elephant-back riding, canoeing, birdwatching, botanising, boating, bungy-jumping, white-water rafting and of course flying over the Falls by light aircraft, helicopter and even micro-light! On these pages you will see some of our favourite hotels and lodges in the Victoria Falls area, they are all accessible by road, boat or air. It is by no means exhaustive, but you would be hard pushed to find a better collection!
