06 ZiNG July - September 2009 athome ABOVE Flying over the Caribbean gives a sense of isolation, with thousands of islands, many uninhabited, dotted over the seascape panorama. Strangely, perhaps, this is all part of the paradise- like appeal of the region. From this lofty view, visitors can see the miles of sandy beaches stretching out before them; drawing them in, as they get ready to embark on a week or two's rest and relaxation, soaking up the sun as the sea laps at their feet. Then there is the sea, the dark blues of the deep, interspersed with the turquoise shades of the shallower waters, which are home to coral reefs and a plethora of marine life.
