6 | AUDLEY TRAVELLER | www.audley.co.uk |JORDANNadia SibaiMy journey along the scenic Kings' Highway took me to the amazing ancient city of Petra and beyond. Spending a night in the desert of Wadi Rum was one of the most memorable experiences. We took a jeep tour to explore the canyons and ancient Nabataean inscriptions, and ended the evening star-gazing and enjoying delicious local Bedouin delicacies. I also trekked through the picturesque Dana Reserve, spotting mountain ibex and numerous beautiful birds.PAPUA NEW GUINEAMark RobinsonWildlife and hilltribes are two huge drawcards of any trip to Papua New Guinea. On my recent trip to the country I experienced both of these in abundance, from the traditional sing-sings of the Kuli Clan in the highlands to the colourful variants of birds of paradise in the jungle. PNG never fails to impress!ANTARCTICALizzie WilliamsMy trip to Antarctica was full of favourite moments, but if I had to choose then I would say seeing the blue skies, glassy seas and mirror-sharp refl ections of icebergs glistening under the Antarctic sun, disturbed only by penguins speeding past on the hunt for krill. Also unforgettable was Antarctica's parting gift: two humpback whales playing alongside the boat - even the captain was hanging out of the bridge, taking photos!JUST BACK FROM ... ere will be a new ship naviga ng the Nile this year. e Mayfair is one of the latest cruise ships to take to Egypt's iconic river.
